Perth Lesbian Archive is a grassroots organisation, created and managed by lesbian volunteers. It began in late 2019 after a discussion with lesbian elders made clear the need for a place to store lesbian and relevant feminist materials for historic posterity, preservation, and eventual display. These elders wanted a local space which was catered specifically to lesbians that they could donate items to, including books, magazines, art, music, videos, and other various paraphernalia.
